Northend Market Stand is open year around and might be the biggest “honor system” stand you will ever see. Open 10-6, and set in the pastoral settings of the farm itself, one may discover fresh eggs, bread, vegetables, fruit, berries, pies, frozen cuts and whole chickens, (all somewhat seasonally dependent) and more from right there on the farm. Also at the stand are a handful of other quality local products from some of our Salt Spring neighbors. 2521 Northend Rd.

Stop long enough to grab what you need for dinner, or pause to visit the friendly barn cats, or rabbits, or horses. You may even see an actual farm worker (they’re pretty friendly too), bringing your dinner into the stand straight from the field, or bakery. It’s really that fresh, because you really are on a working farm, not just a rustic storefront. So drive slow, keep your eyes open, and don’t miss a thing.

a note about this cold spring:

Its been a slow start to the season, and We’re expecting things to be a little later starting than last year. Nevertheless, check back often for the growing supply of walking-distance-grown Northend Produce.  Its gonna get hot, and when it does, harvest will be on!
